SHEN, Naijian Eric

Dr. Naijian Eric Shen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He joined the university in 2021 after completing his postdoctoral research at the Fluid Dynamics of Disease Transmission Laboratory, Fluids and Health Network, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Shen obtained his Ph.D. in Aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 2020, where he studied magnetohydrodynamics under the supervision of Prof. Dale Pullin. His research interests include fluid dynamics, plasma physics, and mathematical epidemiology and biophysics. He has contributed to various publications in journals such as the Journal of Fluid Mechanics and Physics of Plasmas.
