CHASNOV, Jeffrey R

Jeffrey R. Chasnov is a Professor of Mathematics at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He received a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and a PhD from Columbia University. He had postdoctoral appointments at NASA, Stanford University, and the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France before moving to Hong Kong in 1993. Jeff has created seven courses on Coursera, including five courses for the Mathematics for Engineers Specialization, Calculus for Engineers, and the recreational math course, Fibonacci Numbers and the Golden Ratio. He is the author of numerous research articles in fluid turbulence and mathematical biology, and has authored popular online textbooks and YouTube videos.
