Regular biography
Maximilian NITZSCHNER is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD from D-MATH, ETH Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alain-Sol Sznitman in 2020. From 2020 to 2023, he served as a Courant Instructor at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. Currently, he is a coordinator for the Hong Kong Probability Seminar. His research interests include probability theory and related areas. He can be contacted at mnitzschner@ust.hk.
