Professor Dionysios Anninos

Professor Dionysios Anninos is a Professor of Theoretical Physics in the Department of Mathematics at King's College London. His research interests lie at the interface of black hole physics, cosmology, and the gauge/gravity duality. His work focuses on extending modern ideas such as the AdS/CFT correspondence to a broader class of spacetimes, including those describing our Universe during its early and late cosmological epochs. He has held research positions at Stanford University, the Institute for Advanced Study, and the University of Amsterdam, and was awarded a University Research Fellowship from the Royal Society in 2018.
