Regular biography
Professor Dan Abramson OBE is a Professor of Practice of Mathematics Education in the Department of Mathematics at King’s College London. His work focuses on strengthening undergraduate mathematics education, widening participation in the mathematical sciences, and improving connections between schools, universities, policy, and employers. At King’s, he is leading a major institutional project to develop and launch a new mathematics degree aimed at widening participation and supporting a broader range of student backgrounds and aspirations. The project has received start-up funding from the Campaign for the Mathematical Sciences. He is also CEO of the University Maths Schools Network and a co-founder and Chair of Trustees of Axiom Maths. In 2023, he was awarded an OBE for Services to Education.
