Dr Martim Brandão

Dr Martim Brandão is a Lecturer in Robotics and Autonomous Systems in the Department of Informatics at King's College London. His research focuses on responsible AI, robotics, and the social impact of technology. He leads the Responsible Robotics and AI (RRAI) lab and is Co-Director of the CDT in Safe and Trusted AI. Dr Brandão's work examines the risks and ethical implications of AI and robotics, aiming to develop more socially just and human-compatible technologies. He previously held post-doctoral positions at the Oxford Robotics Institute and Takanishi Laboratory, Waseda University, and holds a PhD in Engineering from Waseda University.
