Thomas Weber

Thomas Weber is a Full Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Department of Business / Management. His research interests include credit collections, decision making under risk, economics (behavioral, environmental, theory), engineering economy, investment criteria, nonlinear systems, optimal control, risk, and the sharing economy. He teaches courses such as MGT-431, MGT-555, and MGT-621. Weber is also the Director of the Doctoral Program in Management of Technology and a member of the Doctoral School Committee. He has received awards including the ACIIS 2025 Best Paper Award and the 2026 ICSEDI'26 Best Paper Award.
