Regular biography
Andreas Fuster is an Associate Professor of Finance at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, affiliated with the Economics / Finance department. His research interests include empirical finance, particularly in household and real estate finance, financial intermediation, FinTech, and macroeconomics. He is also involved in behavioral and experimental economics. Fuster previously worked in the research department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the financial stability department of the Swiss National Bank, where he holds a part-time role as research advisor. He is a Research Fellow at the CEPR and a Senior Chair at the Swiss Finance Institute. Fuster is set to join the Department of Finance at the University of Zurich as Professor of Finance in Fall 2026.
