Michael Ingleson

Professor Michael Ingleson is a member of the Chemistry department at The University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on s + p block chemistry, borylation, and all things boron, including catalysis, organometallics, organic materials, and synthesis. He is particularly interested in C-H bond functionalisation reactions and the development of new catalytic reactions using earth-abundant main group elements. His work spans fundamental and applied organoboron compounds, such as intermediates for synthesis, emissive materials, and APIs. The Ingleson group also has over 20 years of experience in using Lewis acids in Friedel-Crafts chemistry.
