Dr Christopher R Coxon is a Senior Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, School of Chemistry. His research focuses on medicinal chemistry, peptide synthesis, fluorine chemistry, and the development of chemical probes for disease detection and treatment. Dr Coxon's work includes the design of peptides to modulate GPCRs involved in neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, such as migraine and Parkinson’s disease, as well as the development of fluorinated tools for chemical biology and biomarker detection using 19F NMR. He is also the Co-founder and Director of Pepmotec Ltd, a peptide synthesis spin-out company.
