The University of Edinburgh's School of Chemistry is a partner in the Scotland and Medicine collaboration led by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. This initiative promotes medical and health collections in Scottish museums to local, national, and international audiences. The partnership focuses on utilizing medical/health collections and building a Scotland and Medicine network. The School of Chemistry's collection includes historical medical objects, such as a sample of arsenic from the Madeleine Smith trial of 1897, which continues to inspire research and creative arts.
