Julia Stoyanovich

Julia Stoyanovich is an Institute Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and an Associate Professor of Data Science at New York University. Her research focuses on responsible AI, data management, and AI ethics. She is the Director of the Center for Responsible AI and a member of the Visualization and Data Analytics Research Center. Dr. Stoyanovich received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University. She has been recognized with the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) and is a Senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Her work addresses the societal implications of AI and promotes ethical practices in technology development.
