Regular biography
Ainesh Bakshi is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Prior to his current position, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT, jointly appointed in the Mathematics and Computer Science departments. Bakshi earned his PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and his B.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University. His research focuses on theoretical computer science and quantum information, with an emphasis on algorithmic tools for understanding large quantum systems. His work has been featured in Quanta Magazine and has contributed to significant advancements in the field.
