Julia Kempe

Julia Kempe is a Silver Professor of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Data Science at New York University's Center for Data Science and the Courant Institute. She is also a Director and Senior Researcher at Meta FAIR Paris, leading the Foundations of Reasoning Team. Her research focuses on the theory and empirics of machine learning and AI, with interests in machine learning theory, deep learning, AI safety, and ML for science. Kempe has contributed to numerous publications in top conferences and journals, including ICML, ICLR, and NeurIPS. She has also received several awards and honors for her work in academia and research.
