Emily Black

Emily Black is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and Assistant Professor of Data Science at the NYU Center for Data Science. Her research interests include algorithmic fairness, anti-discrimination, machine learning policy, deep learning, and responsible AI. Black holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.A. in Computer Science, Math, and English from Wesleyan University. She is affiliated with the Center for Responsible AI, where her work focuses on interdisciplinary research and technology development to ensure responsible AI practices.
