Kim, Jae Kyoung (김재경)

Jinhyeok Kim is a distinguished professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He is also the founder and director of the Biomedical Mathematics Group at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS). Dr. Kim is renowned for his groundbreaking work in mathematical biology, where he applies mathematical modeling, computational methods, and data analysis to understand complex biological systems, including circadian rhythms, cancer chronotherapy, and personalized medicine. Jae Kyoung Kim is an Assoc. Professor in Mathematical Sciences at KAIST and a member of the Biomedical Mathematics Group at IBS. His research focuses on Mathematical Biology, AI, Digital Health, Virtual Cell, and Circadian Rhythms & Sleep. He explores the dynamics of circadian rhythms, sleep regulation, and their implications in health and disease. His work integrates mathematical modeling with experimental biology to understand complex biological systems, such as synthetic microbial consortia and the molecular mechanisms of circadian timekeeping. Kim's research also addresses the application of AI and digital health technologies for personalized chronotherapy and mood disorder prediction.
