Julie Zimmerman

Julie Zimmerman is the Liliane and Christian Haub Professor of Chemical & Environmental Engineering at Yale University, affiliated with the Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering. Her research focuses on the application of green chemistry and green engineering principles to the design of products, processes, and systems, with an emphasis on assessing benign alternatives and policy analysis for sustainability. She also develops water treatment technologies for communities in need. Zimmerman holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and a B.S. from the University of Virginia.
