Izabella Laba

Izabella Laba is a Full Professor in the Department of Mathematics at The University of British Columbia. She obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Toronto and held positions as an E.R. Hedrick Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and as an Assistant Professor at Princeton University. Her research interests include harmonic analysis, geometric measure theory, and additive combinatorics. She has received the Coxeter-James and Krieger-Nelson prizes of the Canadian Mathematical Society, and is a Fields Institute Fellow and a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society. She was an invited section speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Seoul, 2014.
