Regular biography
Dragos Ghioca is a Faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at The University of British Columbia. He obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley in 2005 and served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at McMaster University from 2005 to 2007. Currently, he is a Professor at UBC Mathematics. His research interests include Number Theory, Arithmetic Geometry, and Algebraic Dynamics. He has received the 2012 Ribenboim Prize and the 2013 UBC Killam Teaching Award.
