Regular biography
Ben Williams is a Faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at The University of British Columbia. He obtained a PhD in Mathematics from Stanford University in 2010 and served as a postdoc at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2013, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at UBC from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at UBC. His research interests focus on algebraic topology, particularly its applications in algebra and algebraic geometry.
