Regular biography
Anotida Madzvamuse is a Faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at The University of British Columbia. She recently joined UBC as a Full Professor in October 2022. Prior to that, she was a Professor of Mathematical and Computational Biology at the University of Sussex from 2006 to 2022. Before joining Sussex, she was an Assistant Professor at Auburn University from 2003 to 2006. She earned her DPhil and MSc from the University of Oxford, where she was an EPSRC fellow. Her research focuses on mathematical modelling and analysis, numerical analysis, and parameter inference, with applications in biology and computational sciences. She is also passionate about teaching and supervising research in theoretical and computational biology.
