Regular biography
Michael Blades is a Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on the development, characterization, and application of optical and mass spectroscopic methods for chemical analysis. His work involves collaborations with senior researchers at the Michael Smith Laboratories and the Centre for Blood Research. Blades' research includes the use of Raman spectroscopy for analyzing cells, embryonic stem cells, and red blood cells, with applications in biomedical and analytical chemistry.
