Glenn Sammis

Regular biography

Glenn Sammis is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on the development of new methods for the synthesis of complex natural products, including the fluorination of alkyl and aryl radicals, the synthesis of heterocycles using oxygen- and nitrogen-centered radicals, and the exploration of radical relay cyclization techniques. His work includes the development of novel synthetic approaches for the fluorination of organic compounds and the creation of efficient methods for constructing bioactive carbo- and heterocycles. Sammis is affiliated with the UBC Chemistry department and maintains a research group dedicated to these areas.
