Regular biography
Don Douglas is a Faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at The University of British Columbia. His research interests include mass spectrometry, with a focus on the development of new techniques and instrumentation for analyzing biomolecules, particularly peptides and proteins. His work involves studying the structures of gas-phase ions and noncovalent complexes, as well as addressing challenges such as space charge effects in mass spectrometry. Douglas has collaborated with researchers in the Department of Chemistry and Department of Biochemistry at UBC. His research is supported by the NSERC and is conducted through the use of advanced mass spectrometry techniques. He has published extensively in the field, contributing to the understanding of ion behavior and the improvement of mass spectrometry technologies.
