Ron Yang

Ron Yang is an Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business, within the Strategy and Business Economics Division. His research interests include Empirical Industrial Organization, Urban Economics, and Transportation Economics. He holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University. Yang's work has been published in The Review of Financial Studies, including a 2023 paper co-authored with Gideon Saar, Jian Sun, and Haoxiang Zhu. His research explores topics such as market liquidity and bank regulation. He teaches Strategic Management in the 2025-2026 academic year.
