John D. Claxton is a retired faculty member at The University of British Columbia, affiliated with the Sauder School of Business, Department of BUS. His research interests include marketing strategy development and implementation, marketing technological products, and customer focus. He is the founding director of the Ch'nook Aboriginal Business Program, a joint initiative between the UBC First Nations House of Learning and the Sauder School of Business, established in 2002 with support from Terasen Gas and the Vancouver Foundation. His work has focused on fostering Aboriginal participation in business education through programs such as the Ch'nook Scholars Program and the Ch'nook Advanced Management Program.
