Jan Bena

Jan Bena is an Associate Professor in the Finance Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business. Their research interests include innovation and technological change, entrepreneurial finance, private equity, and labor and finance. Bena's work has been published in leading journals such as the Review of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Corporate Finance Studies. They are also involved in academic leadership roles, including as Academic Director of the Portfolio Management Foundation (PMF) Program and Program Advisor for the UBC SWIFT: Sauder Women in Finance Training Program.
