Regular biography
Ekaterina (Katya) Khmelnitskaya is an Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business, within the Strategy & Business Economics Division. Her research focuses on empirical industrial organization, dynamic structural models of market competition, innovation and R&D, and the pharmaceutical industry. She teaches Strategic Management (BCom) in the 2025-2026 academic year. Her work includes publications in top journals and conferences, such as the Review of Economics and Statistics and the International Conference on Machine Learning.
