Regular biography
LU Yao is a Professor in the Department of Finance at Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management. He serves as Associate Dean of Academics at Schwarzman College and Director of the China Center for Financial Research. His research interests include corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and financial market development. He has published extensively in leading journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Journal of Finance. His work explores topics like corporate tax noncompliance, CEO power, and investment incentives. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, and has taught courses in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
