Regular biography
CHEN Huiyao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management. With a Ph.D. in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in Economics (Mathematical Economics) from Fudan University, CHEN focuses on corporate finance, sustainable investing, information economics, financial markets, and financial intermediation. Their research includes topics such as the paradox of ESG investing and the effectiveness of ESG divestment. CHEN also teaches courses in advanced corporate finance theory and corporate finance at the undergraduate level. Their work has been recognized with a First Place Award at the FIASI and Fordham Sustainable Finance Research Competition.
