Regular biography
CHEN Xiao is a Professor in the Department of Accounting at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. His research interests include Accounting and Capital Market, Corporate Governance, International Taxation, Taxation and Business Strategy, and Business Valuation. He has published extensively in journals such as Accounting Research, China Accounting Review, Management Review, and Journal of Finance and Economics. His work explores topics such as government-based customers, audit risk, earnings quality, and corporate investment behavior. CHEN holds a Bachelor in Engineering from Wuhan Institute of Chemical Engineering, a Master in Management Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Tulane University. He has been a faculty member at Tsinghua University since 1997.
