Regular biography
Zhucheng CHEN is a Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on chromatin structure and function, particularly the mechanisms of chromatin remodeling and epigenetic regulation. His work employs biophysical and biochemical methods to study the structure and function of chromatin regulators, including the elucidation of key states of chromatin remodeling and the development of the âDNA waveâ model. He has contributed to the determination of high-resolution structures of several chromatin remodeling complexes, providing insights into their assembly and nucleosome recognition. His research has implications for understanding gene expression regulation, DNA damage repair, and the pathogenesis of related diseases.
