Regular biography
Xinyu Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University, where she also serves as a Principal Investigator at the Tsinghua-Peking Center for Life Sciences and the IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research. Her research focuses on understanding how the brain learns, employing experimental and computational approaches to explore neural mechanisms of learning and knowledge transfer. Zhao's work involves mice and integrates technologies such as electrophysiology, imaging, optogenetics, and machine learning. She has published in prestigious journals such as Neuron and Nature Neuroscience, and her research is supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
