Regular biography
Wei WU is a Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on adult stem cells, particularly their role in tissue homeostasis and tumor development. Using mice and organoid culture technology, combined with genome editing and chemical biology methods, he investigates the epigenetic mechanisms underlying the differentiation or tumorigenesis of intestinal stem cells, aiming to identify potential therapeutic targets. His work includes studies on the EGFR/PI3K/AKT axis, the β-catenin-TCF complex, and DNA damage-induced pathways. He has published extensively in leading journals such as Oncogene, J Cell Sci, and J Biol Chem.
