Regular biography
Qinghua TAO is a Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University. With a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology and Cell Biology from the Shanghai Institute of Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. TAO has conducted postdoctoral research at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cell fate determination and differentiation during early embryonic development in vertebrates, utilizing genomics, proteomics, molecular biology, and genetics. Specific interests include transgenerational regulation mechanisms of embryonic development, metabolic regulation during fertilization, and the role of growth factors in directed differentiation of pluripotent cells. Dr. TAO's work has been published in prominent journals such as Science, PNAS, and Development.
