Jiawei WANG

Jiawei WANG is an Associate Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on the mannose transport complex (man-PTS), a key component of the bacterial phosphotransferase system, and its role in sugar uptake and interactions with bacteriocins. His work includes structural analysis of man-PTS and related systems using techniques such as crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy. He has contributed to understanding the structural basis of bacteriocin function and has published extensively in journals such as Nature Communications, eLife, and Structure. His research aims to provide insights for the development of new antibacterial drugs and food additives.
