Haodong CHEN

Haodong CHEN is an Associate Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University. He earned his B.S. and Ph.D. in Life Sciences from Peking University, where he also completed postdoctoral research. CHEN's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of gravity sensing and signal transduction in plants, utilizing model organisms such as Physcomitrium patens, Arabidopsis thaliana, and soybean. His work explores how plants detect and respond to gravity, with applications in agricultural practices. CHEN is a Principal Investigator at the Tsinghua-Peking Centre for Life Sciences and has contributed to numerous high-impact publications in plant biology. He has received several awards, including the Rising Stars in Plant Sciences (2024) and the Annual Research Breakthrough Award of the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University (2023).
