Paola Salardi

Paola Salardi is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream (status only cross-appointed) in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Sussex (2013) and a Ph.D. from the Catholic University (2008), along with an M.A. from the University of Sussex (2005) and a B.A. from Bocconi University (2003). Her research focuses on topics such as violence, education, and economic development. She has published in journals such as the Journal of Development Economics, World Development, and the American Economic Review. Her work includes studies on the impact of violence on education in Timor Leste and the regulation of morally contentious activities in economic development.
