Ajaz Hussain is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on financial economics and industrial organization. He teaches courses such as Microeconomic Theory and Topics in Managerial Economics. Hussain's academic background includes a Ph.D. from Brown University, as well as M.A. and B.A. degrees. His work includes publications on topics like R&D races and network design in deregulated industries. He has received teaching awards from the University of Toronto, including the Faculty of Arts & Science Teaching Excellence Award and the Department of Economics Faculty Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
