Michael Baker

Michael Baker is a Professor and Associate Chair, Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on Labour economics, Public economics, and Applied econometrics. He has published extensively in leading journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of Labor Economics, and American Economic Journal: Applied Economics. His work examines topics such as the impact of family tax benefits on children's health and education, the effects of child tax benefits on poverty and labor supply, and the role of pay transparency in addressing the gender gap.
