Gillian C. Hamilton

Gillian C. Hamilton is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto and serves as Vice-Dean, Academic Planning, Faculty of Arts and Science. Her research focuses on economic history and labour economics. She holds a Ph.D. from Queen's University (1993), an M.A. from Queen's University (1987), and a B.Sc. from Trent University (1986). Hamilton's work includes studies on topics such as marriage, apprenticeship, and property rights. Her publications appear in journals such as the Review of Economic Dynamics, the Journal of Economic History, and Explorations in Economic History.
