Sebastian Goodfellow

Sebastian Goodfellow is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. He serves as Associate Chair of Professional Programs and Learning Platforms and Director of the Lassonde Institute of Mining. His research focuses on applied seismology, ultrasonic and acoustic emission testing, and the integration of machine learning and data science in geoscience engineering. Goodfellow's work includes laboratory experiments on induced earthquakes and the calibration of acoustic emission sensors for quantitative seismology analysis. He has also contributed to industry projects, including AI development at KORE Geosystems. His academic background includes a PhD in Civil and Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto.
