Paul Young

Paul Young is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on Mining & Geomechanics, Rock Fracture, and Numerical Modelling. He has contributed to the study of rock fracture dynamics, induced seismicity, and the behavior of rock under various loading conditions. His work includes laboratory experiments, geomechanical modelling, and the analysis of microseismic data. Young has been affiliated with the University of Toronto since his appointment as a Professor Emeritus and has held the W.M. Keck Chair of Seismology and Rock Mechanics Emeritus. He is also a Senior Fellow at Massey College.
