Paul Gauvreau is a Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on structural engineering, particularly bridge design. He specializes in developing new bridge systems that utilize high-strength concrete, emerging reinforcement materials, and innovative wood products. His work also includes sustainable bridge design, bridge aesthetics, and the development of models for visualizing forces in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete structures. Gauvreau is affiliated with the FASE Centre for Analytics and AI Engineering and provides consulting services to various organizations, including the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario and industrial partners.
