Lesley Warren
Regular biography
Lesley Warren is a Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. She holds the Claudette MacKay-Lassonde Chair in Mineral Engineering and serves as Director of the Lassonde Institute of Mining. Her research focuses on environmental assessment and reclamation of water resources associated with mining practices, including mining and geomechanics. Warren's work integrates geochemistry with molecular and experimental microbiology to explore processes affecting water quality and reclamation efficacy. She is also involved in research projects examining microbial roles in mine water quality and sulfur biogeochemistry in mining wastewaters.
