Kamran Esmaeili

Kamran Esmaeili is a Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. He serves as Associate Chair of the Lassonde Mineral Engineering Undergraduate Program and Program Director of the Mining Industry Management Program (MIMP). His research focuses on Mining & Geomechanics, with expertise in Mine to Mill Process Optimization. Esmaeili leads the Mine Modelling and Analytics lab, where his work explores predictive analytics and smart modeling solutions for the mining industry. His research includes developing 3D spatial models of rock mass properties and investigating the influence of rock mass heterogeneity on stability. He holds a PhD in Rock Engineering from Laval University and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and conference proceedings.
