Heather MacLean

Heather MacLean is a Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. She holds the Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Systems and Technology Assessment. Her research focuses on sustainable infrastructure, environmental engineering, and the application of life cycle assessment and techno-economic methods to evaluate energy and transportation systems. She collaborates with public and private sectors on various research projects, including biofuels, sustainable cities, and resilient infrastructure. Dr. MacLean is also Vice-Dean (Strategy) in the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering and affiliated with multiple research groups and initiatives at the University of Toronto.
