Hamed Ibrahim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on hydrological modeling and the physical interactions between the lower atmosphere and Earth’s surface, particularly within the context of the hydrological cycle. His work examines the dynamics of water and heat in environmental systems, with applications to infrastructure and resource management. Ibrahim's research interests include hydrological processes, regional water resources, and ocean basin dynamics. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT and has previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and as a Project Scientist at MIT.
