David Meyer (né Taylor)

David Meyer (né Taylor) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on urban water distribution infrastructure, particularly in Mega Cities of the Global South, with an emphasis on intermittent water systems affecting over one billion people. His work includes developing new methods for sensing, managing, and modeling water networks, as well as creating innovative sensors to improve water and sanitation efficacy globally. Meyer holds a PhD and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto. He has worked with Engineers Without Borders in Ghana and HydraTek in Toronto. His research is affiliated with the Centre for Global Engineering, the Data Sciences Institute, and the Institute for Water Innovation.
