Ehud Altman

About
Regular biography

Ehud Altman is a Professor in the Physics department at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include condensed matter theory, many-body aspects of ultra-cold atomic systems, and quantum information theory. He investigates quantum matter, focusing on interactions and quantum entanglement between particles to understand emergent properties in non-equilibrium systems. His work includes studying many-body localization and thermalization in quantum systems, as well as exploring correlated states in driven systems and ultra-cold quantum matter. Altman joined UC Berkeley in 2016 after serving as a Miller visiting professor in 2012-2013. He previously held positions at the Weizmann Institute of Science and Harvard University.
